What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device to remember information — for example your language setting or the consents you have given. Similar technologies (local storage, pixel tags) fall under the same rules.
Which cookies do we use?
1. Functional cookies (always active)
These are needed for the site to work. No consent is required for them.
- cookie_consent — stores your cookie preferences. Expires after 12 months.
- wp_session — technical WordPress session. Expires when you close the browser.
2. Analytics cookies (consent required)
We use Google Analytics to keep anonymised statistics about how the site is used. The tool is configured so that IP addresses are anonymised immediately.
- _ga, _gid, _gat — Google Analytics. Expire after 2 years / 24 hours / 1 minute.
3. Advertising cookies (consent required)
For advertising through Google AdSense and partners. These cookies are only set if you accept personalised advertising.
- __gads, __gpi, IDE, NID — Google's advertising network. Expire after 13 months or sooner.
How do you manage your consent?
On your first visit the cookie banner offers a choice: accept only functional cookies, or accept all cookies. You can change your choice at any time by withdrawing or renewing your consent on this page.
You can also manage cookies manually through your browser settings — in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge you will find the option under “Privacy and security”.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by external parties (Google). We do not have full control over these. You can find more information in their own privacy statements:
Changes
We may update this cookie policy if we change our setup or if the law changes. The most recent version is always available on this page.
